Whether you're tired of replacing power steering pumps on your stock Fox Body, or performing a Coyote engine swap and need the extra space, this electric power steering kit is the perfect solution. EPAS engineered and assembled this kit in the USA to handle daily driver duties with ease, while also taking the abuse of session after session at the road race track!

Why make the switch to electric?
Switching from hydraulic power steering to electric power steering has many benefits to modernizing your Fox Body steering. By removing your pulley-driven steering, your engine no longer has to spin the power steering pump assembly which frees up power and cuts down on parasitic loss. There will be no more leaking hoses or pumps to deal with. The computer in this electric steering kit measures the amount of force on the steering wheel and amplifies it with the help of the electric motor. The included potentiometer allows you to adjust the amount of steering assist with the turn of a knob. Turn it all the way up while you're navigating through a parking lot, or turn it down while driving down the highway.

Electric Power Assist Steering
EPAS includes all components necessary to make the switch to electric power steering. Depending on your application, some extra products may be needed as noted below. New steering shafts with universal joint are included to eliminate your stock rag joint and improve steering response. A 60 amp electric motor unit is included that will be placed on your inner steering column after some precise cuts are made to the stock column. The included mounting bracket allows the motor to be tucked out of view once installed. A firewall plate with integrated bearing provides smooth operation for the steering column and steering shaft connection. EPAS' ECU control module drives the entire system and allows you to adjust the resistance/assistance with the turn of the potentiometer control knob. A tube of Vibra-Tite 131 high-strength thread locker is included as well as the necessary installation hardware.

Professional Installation Recommended
The installation of this system should be done by a professional mechanic. You will be cutting and splicing your steering column, therefore EPAS Performance and LMR will not be held responsible for any malpractice. Caution should be taken when installing the electric motor: no impacts, shocks or hammering should be done to the unit.

Power Steering Rack Note
LMR recommends the use of a manual steering rack with this kit. However, your factory power steering rack will work with modification. You must take out the piston, lightly grease it, and then reinstall to eliminate the additional drag that the piston gives. After reinstallation, you will need to silicone the open orifices shut.

Belt Routing
-Must run shorter belt to bypass power steering pump or purchase our SVE Power Steering Pump Delete Kit. A/C compressor or A/C delete pulley must be in place.
-Coyote engine swap must run manual brakes.
