Keeping your cat occupied doesn't have to be expensive!
You can create some brilliant feeding toys for your cat using a few humble toilet rolls, some sticky tape and a bit of imagination. As the cats at our Isle of Wight Adoption Centre show in this video, there's plenty of fun to be had with these simple toys.
Instructions
Tape (don't glue) together some toilet rolls - you can either follow the designs in the video or be creative and come up with your own. Place part of your cat's daily allowance of dry food in the tubes, and show them how to use it by ‘pawing’ it out with your fingers in front of them and giving them a few biscuits. Only do this for a few minutes and they will hopefully figure it out!
This fun feeding enrichment will allow your cat to make use of their fantastic senses and provide them with plenty of mental stimulation. It’s great for keeping cats occupied, preventing boredom and encouraging them to eat little and often. Good luck!
